Nilsagor Group values education a lot and that’s why unlike other Group of Industries, it has established Nilsagor Cadet Academy to enlighten the offspring of the common people of Nilphamari. It is situated in an educationally congenial and environment friendly location. Since inception, Nilsagor Cadet Academy has been imparting the best possible modern education to the students with the proper use of art of teaching, science and technology. All the class rooms are well- equipped with multimedia projectors, so the students have an easy access to basic learning and thus they receive quality education. All the class rooms, the teachers’ common room, the library, the office, and the whole premises have been brought under Wi-Fi networking surveillance system and the overall activities are minutely supervised, scrutinized and monitored both by the local authority and the Management in Dhaka. The activities of the Academy begin with the Assembly of the students to instill a sense of discipline, patriotism and righteousness in the students. In the academic sphere, all possible care is taken for the school children to make them feel at ease in the class rooms. The teachers are highly qualified, well – trained, skilled and committed to providethe best education to their students. They are very caring for their students and help them prepare their lesson. With highly effective teaching aids in conjunction with the display of teaching skills and learning, they create a positive frame of mind in the learners, help develop latent faculty of the students and foster the growth of new ideas and feelings in them. Besides, they help grow elegance, a sense of aestheticism and make them conscious about family, society and natural environment. In addition, the students are encouraged to know about their cultural custom, creed, tradition and the spirit of liberation war. Furthermore, the teachers help the students develop morality, values and social etiquettes. To make education complete and more interesting for the students, the Academy has created opportunities for the active participation of the students in different games and sports and other extra-curricular activities and helps them work in an enjoyable and child friendly environment as a result of which debate, music, dance, art and craft are practiced regularly in the Academy. The students of the Academy participate in inter-school sports and various cultural competitions in local and national level and in the meantime, they have been able to make a significant mark in this respect. As part of co-curricular activities, an annual magazine is published to inspire the students to develop their writing skill. Also, for recreation of the school children, a great variety of equipments are installed in the premises for them to get rid of academic monotony.
For transportation, the Academy has in its possession a good number of school buses to carry the students to, and away from, the Academy to ease the difficulty of the learners to come in, and go out of, the school.The last but not the least unique aspect of the school is the existence of two bodies- the Academic Managing Committee and the Advisory body. The formermonitors overall academic as well as administrative sides and the latter holds meeting with the teachers regularly to evaluate the academic progress, to advise the teachers how to develop their proficiency and to find out new ideas for effective class room teaching. As the cumulative effect of all these positive aspects, the Academy has been regarded as one of the best schools in Bangladesh within a very short span of operation.
The Academy has a long term mission and vision. The Authority has undertaken a massive plan to gradually upgrade it to a university in order to provide higher quality education. With this aim in view, the Academy will soon be shifted to an exquisitely unique campus with all the best possible facilities which will include among others a complex of academic and administrative buildings havinga lush green large field in front, a sports complex, an ultra-modern swimming pool, separate residential halls for male and female students, a pool of buses to carry the non-residential students to, and away from, the university. Its aim will be to provide the students with the world class education so that they can face any challenge and take their rightful place in the highly competitive world.
